Biographical Notes

Dr. Theodosis C. Theodosiou holds a Diploma (2004) and a Ph.D. (2010) in Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics from the University of Patras in the area of Computational Nanotechnology and Multiscale Modeling, as well as a Master's Degree in Information Systems (2016) from the Hellenic Open University. He has more than 15 years’ experience in material modeling, composite structures, nanocomposites and structural health monitoring (SHM). He has also a long experience in programming and software development. He has more than 25 publications in refereed journals and conferences in the area of nanotechnology, computational engineering and information technology. He worked as a Research Engineer (2004-2010) and Post-Doc Fellow (2010-2019) at the Lab. of Applied Mechanics and Vibrations at the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics (Univ. of Patras, GR). He has participated in various Research Programs supported by Greek National Funds (Greek Ministry of Education) and European Funds (FP6, FP7, CleanSky JTI etc.), and was co-instructor for the courses: Introduction to Computer Systems and Computer Programming. In 2018, he got elected as Assistant Professor in the Dept. Mechanical Engineering of TEI of Thessaly. Since December 2019, he is an Assistant Professor of the Dept. of Energy Systems of the University of Thessaly. Tought Courses: Metallic Structures, Finite Elements for Constructions, Design of Structures, Systems for Automatic Control, Technical Drawing.
